Guidelines for a self-made moving inspection

You can complete a self-service moving inspection both when you move in and when you terminate your tenancy agreement.

When you move into a Lumo home, please check your new home carefully on the moving day. If the condition of the apartment is different from what it was at the time of renting, please report this to us in the My Lumo service. We also recommend taking photos of the apartment of the moving day. Good photos help to check any defects or damage later, if needed.

After you have terminated your tenancy agreement, you can complete the self-service moving inspection within two days of termination.

The self-service moving inspection is done by using the self-service moving inspection form in the My Lumo service.

Good-quality photos of the apartment’s condition make it possible to complete the self-service moving inspection. Please read the instructions below carefully before taking the photos.

Take good general-photos

Photograph each room of your home in good lighting so we can see the general condition of your Lumo home.

Ensure that built-in furniture is clearly visible in the overview photos — pay particular attention to this when photographing the kitchen and bathroom. Also, ensure that appliances such as the fridge and oven are fully visible in the photos. Don’t forget to photograph any walk-in closets, if applicable.

When photographing the kitchen, fixed furniture and appliances should be fully visible.
In the bathroom, fixed furniture should be visible in the photo.

Photograph the observed defects or parts that need a repair

Has a piece of your flooring come loose, or has moisture caused the bathroom cabinet door to warp?

Take close-up photos of defects or repair needs in your Lumo home’s appliances or structures. Photograph these issues in good lighting. Use the camera flash if necessary.
