The heating of nearly 31,000 Lumo buildings is monitored and optimized in real-time. A proactive AI solution automatically adjusts the building's heating based on apartment temperatures and weather forecasts, considering living comfort and energy consumption.

In addition to the mentioned measures, Lumo homes' professionals work daily to ensure that Lumo residents can easily and effortlessly carry out everyday acts of responsibility.

For example, Lumo residents can assess their lifestyle's sustainability with a carbon footprint test. Additionally, Lumo offers its residents benefits from services that enable everyday acts of responsibility.

One example of a benefit supporting everyday acts of responsibility is a discount on the monthly fee of Väre's electricity contract and a discount on the monthly fees of Väre's carbon-free Renewable Electricity and Nuclear Electricity additional services.

A typical Lumo home with a Väre electricity contract consumes about 1,700 kWh monthly.

If all Lumo residents switched their apartment's electricity contract to Väre's renewable electricity or Nuclear Electricity produced with renewable energy sources, CO2 savings of approximately 37,733 tons per year would be achieved, equivalent to the CO2 emissions of 64,553 round-trip flights from Helsinki to Munich.*
