Vuorikummuntie 9
The Lumo homes at Vuorikummuntie 9 will be ready after renovation in autumn 2024. There are 48 homes. All homes get new surfaces, and the outside of the building will also be fixed. The building was first built in 1969. The homes have big living rooms, small bathrooms, and separate kitchens. All homes have glass balconies. You can go to any floor easily with the building’s elevator.
The homes will have a fresh new look. Kitchens have white cupboards and light wood-colored worktops. Handles are stainless steel. Floors are light oak laminate. Bathrooms have white furniture and wall tiles. Bathroom floors have dark gray tiles.
Shared spaces are in the basement. Residents can use storage, laundry room, two drying rooms, and two saunas. The basement also has storage for each apartment and some garage spaces, very useful in winter. There are more parking spaces outside.
Konala is a quiet and nice area in northwest Helsinki. There are houses, apartment buildings, and some companies. Big roads are nearby: Kehä I and Vihdintie. Malminkartano is nearby. The area is growing and becoming more city-like. Shops are about 1 km away in Ristikko shopping center. Kaari shopping center is about 3 km away.
Nearby there are schools, daycares, and playgrounds. Parks and green areas are good for walking and exercise. You can travel by car, bus, or train. Pitäjänmäki train station is about 1.5 km away. There are also many bike paths.

Konala is a green, peaceful, sparsely built residential area located in north-western Helsinki, next to Pitäjänmäki.
There are several bus lines taking you from your Lumo home in Konala to the centre of Helsinki, which can be reached in 30 minutes. There are fast local train connections from the Pitäjänmäki train station to the centre of Helsinki and shopping centre Sello in Espoo, Leppävaara.
