Tankovainio is a new city area, developed in the 2010s and 2020s. It is a place with history, culture, and green meadows. The area is good for people who want to live near the busy city but also enjoy peace and nature. Nearby you can find Fallbacka garden plots and a big green park that connects to the Mustavuori nature reserve.

This Lumo home is in a quiet place next to Itäväylä road and Tankovainio park. From here you can walk to bus stops with connections to Itäkeskus. In Itäkeskus you find many services: shops, restaurants, and a Finnkino movie theater. From there, you can also take Raide-Jokeri tram all the way to Keilaniemi in Espoo. Bus 560 takes you to Mellunmäki metro station in about 10 minutes, or you can also walk there. A grocery store is very close by.

The area is great for outdoor life and nature. At Linnavuori you can feel the history, and at Vartiokylänlahti bay you can enjoy walking or running all year. Mustavuori nature reserve has beautiful nature, caves, and old fortifications. In winter, you can also enjoy ski tracks in the area. A kindergarten and a school are within walking distance.
