This building was first built in 1979 as the SDP party office. It is in a very good place in Hakaniemi, across from Paasivuoren Park. Before the building, the writer Mika Waltari’s birthplace was here. There is a small memorial plaque on the front of the building.
The building has one open balcony on the street side. Other balconies are glassed and face a big, green courtyard that is quiet and very nice.
The area has great transport and services. The sea and the park are very close.
The building has very good shared facilities: a large club room in the old fireplace room, a spacious sauna area, laundry room, drying rooms, and good storage – also for bicycles. There is an elevator that goes to the underground parking garage. The building has seven floors and 44 homes.
The building is non-smoking. Smoking is not allowed in apartments, on balconies, or in shared areas. There is a smoking area in the courtyard.
