Alun perin vuonna 1980 valmistunut Haapaniemenkatu 11 sijaitsee omaleimaisella ja trendikkäällä Merihaan asuinalueella aivan meren äärellä. Kooltaan yksiöistä aina neliöihin vaihtelevat asunnot saivat vappuna 2018 valmistuneen peruskorjauksen myötä nykyaikaisen ja tyylikkään ilmeen.

Sisustusmateriaaleissa on suosittu rauhallisia valkoisen ja harmaan eri sävyjä, joihin tammenvärinen laminaattilattia tuo lämpöä. Keittiöissä on valkoiset kaapistot rosterisilla vetimillä. Työtasot ovat vaaleanharmaan graniitin väristä korkeapainelaminaattia, joiden taustana on himmeänharmaat välitilan laatoitukset. Kodinkoneet ovat siistin valkoiset.

Astianpesukoneiden ja uunien koko ja rakenne vaihtelevat asunnoittain. Yksiöissä ja kaksioissa on jääkaappipakastin. Kolmioissa ja neliöissä on erilliset korkeat jää- ja pakastinkaapit. Kylpyhuoneissa on himmeän harmaat lattialaatat ja himmeälasitteiset valkoiset seinälaatat, joita korostavat harmaat tehostelaatat.

Asukkaiden yhteiskäytössä on saunatilat, kuivaushuone sekä varastotiloja. Ullakolla sijaitsevat saunatilat peruskorjattiin vuonna 2010. Haapaniemenkatu 11:sta julkisivut uusittiin vuonna 2011, jolloin niiden ilmettä kohennettiin ja parvekkeet lasitettiin.

Merihaka

As the name suggests, Merihaka is by the sea in Helsinki's city center. This concrete brutalist block of apartments was built in the 1970s and 1980s and sits on a yard deck with plenty of parking space below.
