Easy access to nature
Puijonlaakso offers excellent opportunities for exercise and outdoor activities. The area has a wide variety of sports facilities. Also nearby is the Kuopio Hall with its diverse sports facilities and the adjacent swimming pool, ice rink and bowling alley. There is also a baseball stadium, a ski stadium and a ski jumping slope. The Savisaari Equestrian Centre is only a short distance away.
In Puijonlaakso, nature is always close by: next to the large Puijo recreation area, with its nature trails and jogging paths, you can enjoy the outdoors. In Puijo you will also find, for example, a frisbee golf course, Konttilan Elämystila and Kuopio's most famous landmark, the Puijo Tower. There is a revolving restaurant at the top of the tower where you can enjoy a stunning view of the lake. Right next to the Puijonlaakso shopping centre is the renovated Sammakkolampi Park. The park has a swimming beach, an outdoor gym and a playground, as well as a dog park. You can also fish in the pond.
