Door 1: It’s time for the Lumo Christmas calendar
Build your own Christmas calendar with your neighbours – on the windows of your building!
It is the first day of December, and it is time to open the first door on the Christmas calendar. Why not build a Christmas calendar with your neighbours, each in turn in their own window?
Who will be the fastest and put a “1” in their own window, who will get to put up a “2”? After that, the other neighbours will probably catch on to the idea and join the Christmas waiting game. Of course, you can also put a note on the board in the hallway that tells others about the idea and which everyone can use to book a specific day in the shared Christmas calendar.
You can get creative with the materials and making of a calendar number. Markets, crafting and hardware stores sell a variety of light sets and LED light strips, from which you can craft a number to illuminate your window. You can attach it with transparent tape, for example. You can do anything, as long as the number of the Christmas calendar is illuminated on the corresponding calendar day and can be seen from the street.
Kids love to guess which window the next Christmas calendar number will light up in, and turning a home into a Christmas calendar will be a delight to an adult returning home as well.
Let's make the wait for Christmas wonderful together!
Share the events of your building on social media with #lumohomes, so that others can see all the nice things that winter and Christmas time in a Lumo home can bring.
