About the area
Suurpelto
Suurpelto is a unique and developing residential area, centrally located between Henttaa, Olari and Mankkaa in Espoo. Situated along Turunväylä and Kehä II highways, Suurpelto is easily accessible by bus or car from places such as Matinkylä, Olari, Tapiola and Helsinki. In addition, the nearby Matinkylä and Tapiola metro stations offer smooth transport connections to Helsinki and the railway line.

Nearly one third of the park-like residential area of Suurpelto is zoned for parks and recreation. There are also many fields and parks around Suurpelto. For example, the huge Espoo Central Park next door offers endless wooded jogging and outdoor trails for all ages. Lillhemt Park, on the other hand, has a shared barbecue and sun loungers that invite you to a picnic on a summer's day. A grassy field with football pitches and volleyball courts also offers sports opportunities.
The charming park named Garden of Love, on the other hand, is gradually filling up with fruit trees planted by residents. The furry members of the family will enjoy a cosy dog park, while children will be delighted by the area's fun Angry Birds themed play park.

The range of services in the ever-evolving Suurpelto will grow significantly in the future, but the area already has everything you need: the Suuris shopping centre offers a variety of services and shops, including a grocery store, gym and restaurants. More services can be found within a short bus ride, for example in Matinkylä in the Iso Omena shopping centre.
The Opinmäki campus, which serves as a centre for education and leisure, is also located in the area. Opinmäki has a Finnish- and English-speaking primary school, a kindergarten, sports facilities and a library. There are no less than four other kindergartens in the area.

Suosittuun Suurpeltoon uusia Lumo-koteja
Suurpellon pidetylle, uudehkolle asuinalueelle valmistui uusia Lumo-koteja Henttaan Puistokatu 16:een 2022 maaliskuussa. Yhteensä 72 viehättävää, vaaleasävyistä kotia asettuu viiteen kerrokseen. Talosta löytyvät asukkaiden yhteiset saunatilat, pesutupa sekä kuivaushuoneet. Autopaikkoja löytyy alueen pysäköintilaitoksesta ja niitä on varattu tämän talon asukkaille 47 kpl. Tässä modernissa talossa on huomioitu nykypäivän vaatimukset niin asumisen laadun kuin ympäristönkin kannalta: kiinteistösähkö, jolla lämmitetään sauna, sekä valaistaan niin porraskäytävät, yhteiset tilat kuin piha-aluekin on hiilineutraalia vesisertifioitua sähköä. Talon lämmitysmuoto on hiilineutraali kaukolämpö. Energian- ja vedenkulutusta seurataan päiväkohtaisesti. Talon yhteistilat sekä asunnot parvekkeineen ja terasseineen ovat savuttomia. Vuokraan sisältyy sukkela 100 Mbit/s laajakaista ja täällä viihtyvät mainiosti myös lemmikit, jotka ovat tervetulleita näihinkin uusiin Lumo-koteihin.
