Arts and crafts are not exclusively for children, but also fun and relaxing activities for adults. They are even nicer to do together, and do not require much preparation.

Why not come together with your neighbours in the housing company’s club room to do some crafts? Everyone can bring their own craft ideas and craft supplies: glue, tape, fabric, tissue paper and other beautiful papers, different kinds of ribbons, baubles, glitter and decorations, craft paints and brushes. 

Here are a few ideas to consider:

• Make snowflakes of various sizes to put in the window or on the wall. Tissue paper looks beautiful through the window, and a pretty patterned snowflake made with newspaper placed on the wall serves as a Christmas decoration. Fold a square paper into triangles, and then just cut patterns and shapes on the edges of the triangle!
  
• Make your own bauble or Christmas ornament. The bauble can be shaped from recycled paper, for example, and finished with a decorative ribbon wrapped around the ball. Even pine needles could be used. You can also customise your own bauble by altering the finished bauble to your liking. Will you paint Santa's mustache and beard on a red bauble, or perhaps Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer?
  
• Perhaps suitable materials for a Christmas wreath to be placed on the door can be found in the woods nearby? Remember, however, that some things like moss can only be collected with the permission of the forest owner, and only small amounts of twigs and branches can be taken.
