Malminniitty is a suburb in the Simonkylä district of Vantaa. Simonkylä is a quiet and green district north of Tikkurila. The area consists of Simonmetsä, Simonkallio, Simonsilta and Malminniity, with some smaller residential areas in between.

The area is well connected by public transport: the Leinelä railway station, which is part of the Kehärata railway line, is close to Malminniity and there you can take the commuter train to Helsinki city centre, for example, in about half an hour. There is also a convenient bus service to nearby areas and train stations, and the journey to Tikkurila, for example, takes about ten minutes.

Simonkylä is close to nature and has plenty of green areas, and the Malminniity suburb is also nice and green. For example, the large Simonkylänpuisto park with its meadows and fields is a great place for recreation and jogging, and the adjacent ponds serve as fishing spots. In winter, the jogging paths in Simonkylä park are ploughed into ski trails. The Möskäri artificial hill has a new, fine fitness track, fencing for dogs and, in winter, a sledding hill for children. Malminniitty park also has jogging paths and a frisbee golf course, and Tikkurila Sports Park is not far away.

Basic services, grocery stores, a school and a kindergarten are close by. In addition, Tikkurila's wide range of services and specialised shops are within easy reach by car or public transport. Thanks to its good location, peaceful atmosphere and good recreational opportunities, the green Simonkylä and Malminniitty are particularly popular with families with children.
