Christmas tree sellers have already set up in their spots, and some families have already picked up their Christmas tree. Others have a Christmas tradition of picking up their tree on the 23rd of December or on the morning of Christmas Eve, but many families want to get a tree a little earlier than that.

Frozen spruces should first be left to thaw for a few days in a cool space that is a few degrees Celsius above freezing, such as on a balcony. If a suitable cool space is not available, the frozen spruce can be brought into the bathroom and allowed to thaw there slowly, with the bottom of the trunk in a bucket of water. Spray water on the tree’s branches occasionally during this process.

Then it’s time to put up the tree and start decorating!

Not everyone wants to get a big Christmas tree. If it does not feel right to you to cut down a tree just for a few days, you can also get a Christmas tree in a pot. There are different sizes of potted spruce, including those that are sized for a small apartment. After Christmas, patted spruces can be planted in the ground, as long as the ground is not frozen. Potted trees can also be rented, in which case they are returned to the grower after Christmas.
