The Lahti motorway is located to the east of Kerava, and the distance to Helsinki is 39 kilometres by car. East–west highways connect Kerava with Porvoo and St. Petersburg in the east or Nurmijärvi, Hämeenlinna and Tampere in the west. Helsinki Airport is within 15 minutes from Kerava by car.

The pedestrian street in central Kerava is the local meeting place. The one-kilometre pedestrian street has been awarded by the Finnish Association of Architects, and it is fully closed from vehicle traffic. Culture in Kerava

The library of Kerava houses frequent concerts. There are two interesting museums in Kerava: the Kerava museum and the Kerava Art Museum. The summer is the busiest time of activities in Kerava, welcoming residents and visitors alike to enjoy the diverse selection of urban events.
