Simonkylä is a quiet and green district in Vantaa, north of Tikkurila. The area consists of Simonmetsä, Simonkallio, Simonsilta and Malminniitty, with the some small residential areas in between.

Simonkylä has good transport connections: the Leinelä railway station, which is part of the Kehärata railway line, is close by and there you can take a commuter train to Helsinki city centre, for example, in about half an hour. There is also a convenient bus service to nearby areas and train stations, and the journey to Tikkurila, for example, takes about ten minutes.

Simonkylä is close to nature and has plenty of green areas: the large Simonkylä Park with its meadows and fields invites you to relax and go jogging, and the adjacent ponds serve as fishing spots. The Möskäri artificial hill has a nice modern fitness track, fencing for dogs and, in winter, a sledding hill for children. Simonmetsä has a football and badminton pitch and a frisbee golf course, and Tikkurila Sports Park is not far away.

There are several local shops, a few restaurants and basic services in the area. Simonkylä also has a secondary and primary school and several kindergartens. In addition, Tikkurila's wide range of services and specialised shops are easily accessible by car or public transport. Thanks to its good location, peaceful atmosphere and good recreational opportunities, the green Simonkylä is particularly popular with families with children.
