The four floors of the elevator building will feature homes of many sizes, with glazed and French balconies, and some with private saunas. Linnanmaa offers a great location close to the University of Oulu and Technology Village
The districts of Linnanmaa and Kaijonharju have merged completely, and there is no noticeable change in the terrain between them. Together, the central parts of Linnanmaa and Kaijonharju form a campus area around the University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences. The area also includes the Linnanmaa campus of Oulu University of Applied Sciences, the university's botanical garden, and the Zoological Museum. The technology village has been called the "Silicon Valley of the North," and in the 2000s, the area was home to the offices of many large electronics and IT companies, such as Google and Nokia.
The Linnanmaa Prisma shopping center and its ancillary services are about a kilometer away. There is a well-lit jogging track nearby that circles the botanical garden and leads to the shore of Lake Kuivasjärvi. Sports facilities in Linnanmaa include the Linnanmaa sports hall, the Linnanmaa ice rink, and a new swimming pool that will open in 2025. The area has good bus connections, and the city center is about 5 km away via light traffic routes.
