In June 2024, 113 new Lumo homes were built at Klaavuntie 11, on the site of the old Puotila shopping center. The building has up to eight floors. Apartments range from studios to four-room homes. There are shops on the ground floor, so apartments in sections A and B start on the third floor. These floors also have a quiet and nice yard deck. In section C, apartments start on the second floor. On the top floors of sections B and C, there are shared spaces, a rooftop terrace, saunas, and a laundry room for residents.
The location is very good for services. There are shops, a grocery store, a kiosk, and several restaurants in the building. Itäkeskus shopping center is also within walking distance.
Puotila feels like a small village with a warm and calm atmosphere. It is good for families with children. There are kindergartens and schools nearby. There are many sports and hobby options. At Puotila sports field you can play basketball, football, or tennis. In winter, a large ice rink is made. Indoor sports halls with ball courts and climbing walls are also nearby in Myllypuro.
There are many options for outdoor activities. Myllypuro sports park, Rusthollari playground, a dog park, and community gardens are close. Puotila manor, from the 1800s, is now a restaurant. Thanks to its own metro station, Puotila has excellent transportation connections, with a journey to the center of Helsinki taking just over fifteen minutes. Furthermore, several bus lines run along Itäväylä. Residents who drive can easily access the Ring road I and Itäväylä, providing convenient travel throughout the metropolitan area.

Puotila offers beautiful sea views nearby. Puotila Beach provides stunning views of Vartiokylänlahti and Vuosaari. Adjacent to the beach, there is also an outdoor sports facility. Crossing Raittisilta bridge takes you to jogging trails on the Vuosaari side. Puotila has a starting point for cross-country ski trails leading to the Mustavuori nature reserve in snowy winters.
