Itäkeskus has excellent public transport connections to the rest of Helsinki, with both metro and bus options.

Itäkeskus

To the city centre in fifteen minutes
It takes less than 15 minutes to reach the Itäkeskus metro station from Helsinki Central Railway Station. Several bus lines run in the area and the light rail line 15 connects the area with the rest of the Helsinki and Espoo. There is also a direct bus link to Pasila, and many of the bus lines that operate in eastern Helsinki run via Itäkeskus.
