Why go to Turku’s riverside when Tikkurila and the Keravanjoki River are closer? The Keravanjoki riverside is a cosy and idyllic area with relaxing seating spots and a favourite playground for families, Åvik Playground. The area is now rising: a trendy sauna restaurant is also planned for the riverside.

In Tikkurila, you can eat well, just like in the centre of a big city. Among others, Blablabla Eatery, the neighbourhood restaurant Vintero, and the Japanese restaurant Genki delight locals with their unpretentious deliciousness.

Tikkurila’s bright swimming hall serves water enthusiasts on Läntinen Valkoisenlähteentie. Nearby, you can find all other necessary sports venues, such as ice rinks, a sports hall, grass fields, and a skating rink in winter. In winter, you can access the ski trail directly from the edge of the sports park and ski to St. Lawrence Church.

Vantaa is a student city! It is even planning its own Otaniemi in Tikkurila. A campus is planned for Jokiniemi, east of the train station, including facilities for Tikkurila High School, Varia Vocational College, and adult education.
