The outdoor activities here are some of the best in the Helsinki city area, with bridges, islands, waterfronts, and forest landscapes. The metro gives quick access to the city center, and tram line 13 takes you to Pasila in just 15 minutes. The nearby REDI shopping center offers great shopping, dining, and café options.

Sompasaari has good transport links into all directions
The bus route extends to the far end of Sompasaari, and the Kalasatama metro station is within walking distance. Tram line 13 takes you to Pasila station in 15 minutes. Starting in November 2026, Sompasaari will also benefit from the new Kruunusillat tram connection, improving links to Kruunuvuorenranta and the Laajasalo area.
