All balconies in the property are currently out of use. The restriction is valid as a precaution to ensure residents’ safety. It is based on a warning issued by the Finnish Safety Investigation Authority regarding the use of fibre cement panels in balcony railings. A rent compensation of 5% of the monthly rent will be applied for the period during which the balcony is unavailable. Residents will be informed as inspections and any necessary repairs progress, and once the balconies can be safely used again. This Lumo building is in a quiet and green area called Pajamäki. There are very nice outdoor areas with forest paths. Near the building are Talin allotment gardens and many sports options, like bowling and golf. It is also easy to go by bus or train to Helsinki city center.

The trunk line and the new express tram Raide-Jokeri run from Pitäjänmäentie near Pajamäki. The journey to Helsinki city centre takes about 40 minutes by public transport. Residents with cars can easily get to different parts of the capital region via Vihdintie.
