All balconies in the property are currently out of use. The restriction is valid as a precaution to ensure residents’ safety. It is based on a warning issued by the Finnish Safety Investigation Authority regarding the use of fibre cement panels in balcony railings. A rent compensation of 5% of the monthly rent will be applied for the period during which the balcony is unavailable. Residents will be informed as inspections and any necessary repairs progress, and once the balconies can be safely used again. This Lumo building is in a quiet and green area called Pajamäki. There are very nice outdoor areas with forest paths. Near the building are Talin allotment gardens and many sports options, like bowling and golf. It is also easy to go by bus or train to Helsinki city center.
The building has a nice park-like yard with a playground. Residents can use the laundry room with a dryer, a club room, and a sauna.

Pajamäki is a peaceful residential area in West Helsinki near the Espoo border. The area has blocks of flats and has the spirit of the 50s.
Pajamäki is a verdant residential area
The nature surrounding Pajamäki invites you to enjoy the outdoors. On the adjacent Patterimäki, you will find a World War I fortress area and part of Ursa's solar system model. The sympathetic community garden in Tali is located next to Pajamäki. There are also a few playgrounds and a dog park nearby.
The nearby Tali sports park provides a wide range of opportunities for sports activities. The park has a football hall, outdoor football pitches, badminton and squash courts, the Tali Tennis Centre, the Zippy Adventure Park, and the Helsinki Golf Club. The golf course area in winter has over 6 kilometers of ski trails. On the west side of Pajamäki is the Vermo Racecourse for horse racing enthusiasts.
As a residential area, Pajamäki is quiet, as there is hardly any traffic. This makes the area very suitable for families with children. Pajamäki has its own grocery store and pharmacy. Larger shops are located in Pitäjänmäki, about one kilometre from Pajamäki.
The Light Rail Line runs close to Pajamäki along Pitäjänmäentie, and Pitäjänmäki railway station is located about one kilometre away. Helsinki city centre can be reached by public transport in as little as 20 minutes. For those travelling by car, Vihdintie provides convenient connections to different parts of the Helsinki metropolitan area.
