Mellunkylä is located in East Helsinki and is surrounded by green nature, a wide range of services, and good transport connections. The district of Mellunkylä comprises five sub-areas: Kivikko, Vesala, Kontula, Kurkimäki and Mellunmäki. The main centers of the area are Mellunmäki and Kontula, which are next to the metro stations.
