Arabianranta is a newer residential area built in the 2000s. The area has been designed with a focus on a welcoming and sustainable urban environment. The area has lush parks, walking paths and cycle paths that provide opportunities for outdoor recreation and leisure.

The area is home to the Arabia campus of the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and the Iittala & Arabia Design Centre. The Design Centre has design shops and a design museum, and hosts a variety of exhibitions, events and workshops that enrich the cultural offering of the area. Arabianranta is also home to a large number of public artworks that colour the streetscape.

Arabianranta also has a good selection of other services such as grocery stores, restaurants, cafés and other small shops. In addition, nearby shopping centres such as Tripla and Redi offer a wider range of shopping opportunities. Arabianranta is well connected and easily accessible by public transport.
