Sauna time slots
Reserving a sauna time slot
You can usually reserve a sauna time slot directly in the My Lumo service. In some buildings, reserving sauna time slots are made through our customer service.
You will find the correct reservation method in the Reservation section of My Lumo.
If there are no free sauna slots in your building, you can create a sauna alert in My Lumo. You will then receive a notification when a slot becomes available.
Price and payment
Weekly sauna slots have a fixed monthly fee. The price of your weekly sauna slot is added to your monthly rent and paid together with your rent. If needed, you can download a new rent breakdown from My Lumo.
In some buildings, you can book one time sauna slots, which are paid for at the time of booking. These one time slots are always booked through My Lumo.
Terminating a weekly sauna slot
The notice period for terminating a sauna slot is one calendar month. This means the slot will end at the end of the following month after you submit the cancellation.
You can cancel your sauna slot yourself in My Lumo or by contacting our customer service.
Common sauna slots
If your building has a common sauna slots (often called lenkkisauna, a shared sauna hour for all residents), the time is usually shown on the sauna door.
If your building’s sauna slots can be booked in My Lumo, the common sauna slots will also appear in the online calendar. You can also ask our customer service for the schedule of common sauna slots.
Common sauna (lenkkisauna) times are open for all residents, and you do not need to make a reservation.
In addition to personal and common sauna slots, your building may also arrange shared sauna events, such as cleaning-day saunas or Christmas saunas. If these events affect your personal sauna slot, residents will be informed with a separate notice.
Sauna guidelines
When using shared sauna facilities, please help keep the space clean and pleasant for everyone. Please remember that some residents are sensitive to strong scents, so avoid using heavily scented products.
Pets should stay at home for allergy and cleanliness reasons. Do not burn candles or smoke in the sauna area.
During your sauna time
- Wash yourself before entering the sauna room.
- Use a towel or seat cover on the sauna benches.
- Use warm water when throwing water on the stove. This protects the stones and helps them last longer.
- Avoid getting the benches unnecessarily wet to prevent damage and mould.
- Do not adjust the stove thermostat – this is handled by maintenance staff.
After your sauna time
- Clean up after yourself and put all rubbish in the bin. Make sure nothing smelly is left in the bin, such as sanitary products, nappies, or food waste.
- Rinse the washing room and washing bowls, dry the floor with the squeegee, and close the taps.
- Check that nothing flammable is left on or near the stove.
- Leave the sauna area at the end of your slot so your neighbours can enjoy their sauna on time.
- Switch off the lights and close the doors and windows when you leave.
