Hämeentie 48

Sörnäinen, 00500 HelsinkiAvailable for renting 13.12.2021
Estimated time of completion 1.4.2022

Hämeentie 48, located in Sörnäinen close to excellent transport connections, is being renovated inside and out to meet today's housing needs. The renovation is expected to be completed in early April 2022. The apartments in this sturdy building, originally built in 1939, have charming, wide window seats. The block courtyard is noticeably large and home to old, lush trees. The building, equipped with elevators, has a total of 96 apartments on floors 2 to 7 in three blocks. The windows in the block C face the courtyard and those in the blocks A and B face the street.

The homes, shared facilities and the five business premises on the ground floor of the building are being renovated with modern materials. The apartments have light oak laminate flooring with a bevelled edge and a calm wood pattern that brings light and softness to the space. The laminate feels pleasant underfoot and has an M1 low-emission indoor air rating. The bathrooms are fully tiled in shades of muted greige and white. The bathrooms are furnished with a graphic grey, high-quality Gustavsberg bathroom cabinet. The shower has a space-efficient folding shower screen.

The kitchens are white-grey with glossy top cabinet doors and matte light grey bottom doors. The worktop and splashback are made of concrete-like, easy-to-maintain laminate. The appliances are integrated and, depending on the size of the apartment, the kitchen is equipped with either a fridge or a fridge freezer, a dishwasher, an induction stove with two or four burners and an integrated oven. All walls are painted fresh white. In these homes, particular attention has been paid to the design of excellent storage spaces: the high-quality cabinets with drawers are a delightful exception to homes of this size.

The building houses shared sauna facilities, a washing room, a drying room and a club room. The yard has ten parking spaces with a block heater available for rent. The building is heated with carbon-neutral district heating, and the property electricity is hydropower-certified and carbon-free. A 100 Mbps broadband internet connection is included in the rent.
