Our residents are the experts of housing. As our resident, you have the opportunity of influencing your own living. All residents can participate in shared events and impact the comfort and safety of their living environment. By doing so, the residents create networks with their neighbours that bring safety and quality into living.

The purpose of resident activities

Resident activities are diverse activities aimed at improving the living environment and comfort of all residents. By helping others, the resident activities give a feeling of success and bring about a good spirit. Shared activities do not require a tremendous amount of work. Everyone can participate to the extent that they want to be involved. Even small initiatives help create a stronger sense of community, which makes life more pleasant. Ideas are meant to be put into action. Participating in resident activities is the best way to do it!

Getting involved

The Lumo team actively organises different kinds of activities, such as resident events and meetings, work and garden parties and club events. The amount of the allowance allocated for organising resident activities for a building with 50 apartments, for example, is about EUR 1,000 per year.

All residents can participate in the resident activities. If you want to make your building more comfortable and participate in taking care of the related matters, take action! You can start by bringing up any matters you deem important in the building’s events and meetings, or by bringing up such matters when meeting other residents on the yard of the building, for instance.

Information about larger events, such as trips to Linnanmäki or Särkänniemi and the Christmas concert, can be found in the residents’ online newsletter. You can subscribe to the newsletter by contacting our customer service, tel. +358 (0)20 508 5000 or e-mail
